It's rainy December 2nd. I am reading a book to journey through Advent and it's been so interesting reading it now, after writing the paper on the Christology of the Gospel of Luke. All of the books I read to do that paper taught me so much that now reading an Advent book is meaning so much more! I am just finding it to be so cool to be learning all that I am through ACM!

Viva Christo Rei!!
Today is the feast of Christ the King of the Universe...perfect day to sit and work on my Christology paper! Of the Trinity Jesus is the one I gravitate to the most. He is my everything and what a great thing it is to learn more and more about Him in these classes! The papers have been a good challenge for me because they force me to articulate more about my faith. In honor of this feast day I watched the movie "For Greater Glory" the other night and was again so moved by people's love of Christ - laying down their lives when ordered to denounce Him. I am blessed to get to write a paper about Him! Viva Christo Rei!!!

OK, it took me a while to figure out how to get back here....I'm just so not a tech person!!!
It's now November 2nd and I'm working on so many different projects, including ACM homework. The last class was Revelation. I was blown away by Fr. Pat's presentation and am even more hungry to participate in CBI! Today at a session for second year Confirmation Candidates the topic of God's revelation through Scripture came up several times. I look forward to being able to know and understand scripture well and to be able to show people God's revelation like it was taught today by our speaker. Sometimes I wish I could not have to work and spend my days learning - imagine being able to take time to really enjoy reading and writing papers without the stress of trying to just get it done amongst all the other things you have to get done!

Yay, I figured out how to do this!
Experiencing the Theological Reflection class was a great reminder of a process that can teach me so much about myself, the world around me and God's transformative presence in my experiences.
The class on Images of God left me with a realization that I need to spend more time in enabling the people I work with to reflect on their image of God. I have worked in ministry for over 25 years so I can fall into the habit of assuming all people are encouraged to do things like explore their image of God and the world at large's image of God regularly....no, I am encouraged to do so because of the vocation I have, but not all people are.
